I’m a Midwestern transplant who has made my home, life and career in California, never missing a minute of the cold Chicago winters of my childhood. With my creative/artist background, I’ve always thrived on working with creatives and love my job of working with architects and interior designers to help them create gorgeous hospitality destinations with beautiful lighting. I have an Art History/Philosophy degree from Wellesley College and a degree in Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. With earlier career stops in animation and then industrial design, I landed in the lighting industry, where I have worked for over 15 years, both at lighting manufacturers and now as a manufacturer’s rep. I still take an artist’s approach to lighting and see custom large scale lighting, in particular, as ‘lit sculpture’ and am proud to be associated with Bloom Lighting as they create innovative custom lighting for projects all over the world.
